These Guidelines focus on organising events that will communicate the urgency to act before climate change damages the ecosystems on which we depend. The need to engage everyone calls on OWW to use its experience to include minority groups and people of many faiths; to suggest actions that individuals, families, communities and governments can take which will offer hope to future generations. Other organisations' websites and resources, alongside some specially developed by OWW, are suggested to help organisers to put on informative and fun events to build up a positive response to the climate crisis. .

One World Song
Author: Portsmouth Music Hub | Date Published: 02/10/2018
The ONE WORLD song
The 'One World Song' was first produced by the Portsmouth Music Hub, as a film of its 50 choirs and 2,500 singers, for the BBC Music Day 2018. They are very happy for us to adopt it as our 'Song for One World Week' and share it.
"The message is simple: that the environmental choices we make every day will change the world" - so it fits well with OWW's environmental aims and any theme or event with an environmental theme.
Do watch – it’s great. Perfect for us. We are welcome to share it and use it. So do pass the link on to schools, choirs etc. The score and lyrics are available, too, so people can join in the singing. Find them (and other related songs) here http://www.portsmouthmusichub.org/one-world/
It would make a great introduction (or send off) for an event or a school assembly.
Watch and listen to it on youtube now! - it’s guaranteed to make you smile!

Films (short) about environmental issues
Author: Sarah Hirom | Date Published: 12/04/2017
This is a collection of films about environmental issues and what we, as citizens, can do about them.
Included are a set made by "the Story of Stuff". Many are presented as cartoons drawn as the presenter tells the story. They are very accessible, suitable for all ages, funny, but addressing serious issues of our time, and very informative. While made in the USA many of the issues are common to us all - a possible discussion point could be whether people in different countries would tackle the issues in the same way.
They run for between 5 and 20 minutes, so great discussion starters for a lesson or a meeting.
Access the current (2017) collection of Stories of Stuff videos here.
The following collection was complied for OWW's 2014 theme, Living Differently. Most are still relevant.
